Free Motion Friday – Triangle Sashing

Happy Friday Peeps!

Today, I’m showing you how I did the triangle sashings on Pat’s Artisan quilt.

P1040395

They were a lot of fu, and went a lot easier than I expected them to. Which is always nice.

1

I started by marking the size I wanted my triangles to be on the left and then the center in between each marking on the other side (the right).

2

Then I’d simply stitch the triangles, going from point to point.

3

Then, I’d echo 1/4″ inside the left hand triangles.

4And do three rounds of dot-to-dot on the right.

5

Then, I’d go fill in the left hand triangles with some loops.

When I planned this out in my head, I really thought that it would take FOREVER! But in real life, it went much faster than I expected. So be sure to give this one a go!

If you’d like your quilt to be a part of FMF, email a picture of it to kathleen(at)kathleenquilts.com.

Later days!
Kathleen.
