I just finished the fall class schedule for Quilting from the Heart this week! This time around we will be filming the in person class, and it will also be streamed live for anyone who wants to take them online.

All class times are Mountain time, and prices in $Canadian.

In other news, the class list came out for QuiltCon 2018 this week. I’m not teaching this year — I applied, but breathed a huge sigh of relief when I was rejected. Teaching at QuiltCon is not really for me. I don’t have a US work visa, so I can’t be paid to teach, and it was a lot of work for what was essentially a vacation. I put everything I had into those classes, and was completely heartbroken when the comments came back. So when I was rejected, I was mostly relieved that I wouldn’t have to do it again. I’m looking forward to actually being able to enjoy QuiltCon this time around, and take some fun classes.

Later days,

  1. I’d love to take your Boot Camp but I live in Vancouver. Any chance you’ll be teaching out this way soon? Or can you run it over 3-4 days?? Thanks

    • I Loretta! There will hopefully be an announcement about some BC teaching dates over the next couple weeks, though the bootcamp won’t be one of them. I am offering boot camp online, so if you can’t make it in person, that might be an option!

  2. I thought you did an amazing job at QuiltCon!. I took your class and it was so rewarding! Please don’t feel discouraged. The class size was large and some attendees were professional quilters.

  3. I’ve taken two of your online classes and treasure everything you taught. I love your relaxed, can-do attitude. It’s easy to let negative opinions weigh heavier than all the positives. Teaching for no pay would be difficult either way, however. Please stay positive, I really enjoy all that you do!

  4. In any endeavor, you can’t please everyone. I would hope that the quilting community would be more generous and appreciative than society at large specifically professional quilters who should value fellow artists. I follow you on IG and your work is stunning. Keep teaching – you have a lot to offer.
