Kathleen's Spirit Rose Quilt
I FINALLY managed to get a blog post of my Spirit Rose Quilt!!
I actually finished this quilt way back in August! Yikes. It was originally a kit for Quilting From The Heart, though they have since sold out.
The original fabric placement took a while to figure out - mainly because I only had two fat quarter bundle to work with -- I had snagged some "Spirit Animal" fabric at Quilt Market last spring, before it's official release, and wanted to get the sample done before the fabric arrived in the store. So I added a bunch of black and white, and was sooooooo happy with the results.
The quilting in this was lots of fun! I worked on it over July and August, and ended up working hard to get it done for my August trunk show at the Calgary Modern Guild. I love the stripes in it though!
