Today we have Bev's Quilt

I'm actually pretty happy with how this turned out.

I started by quilting in these squares in each block

Then filling each block with a background fill... whatever background fill you like, but you know I'm going to choose swirls.

Then, I built on point squares into the sashings and outer parts of the block.

Then, I filled one section with ribbon candy, and another with swirls.

In the rest of the sashings, I put straight lines that weave over and under. It's easy to keep track of which is over and which is under, as I just followed the piecing - where it is unbroken, so is the quilting.

Lastly I carried the quilting from the rest of the quilt into the borders, which I think will look awesome. I didn't finish filling in all the fills, but you get the basic idea.

The foreground will likely need some sort of simple quilting as well, though I didn't draw it in. Most likely some sort of point-to-point design.

That's Bev's quilt! Remember, if you'd like your quilt to be a part of FMF, email a picture of it to kathleen(at)kathleenquilts.com
