String Stars and Improv Round Robin

I made this quilt on my day off on Tuesday, then stayed after work on Wednesday to get it quilted. I'm so happy with it. I think it turned out fantastic :D

Quilting Close Ups:

I was pretty happy with it. As I said. I love the blue - green - grey combination. It is soft and lovely, while still being exciting enough for me not to fall asleep.

I also got my improv round robin quilt quilted. It's the one that I made in Austin at QuiltCon. I don't particularly like it, but I definitely like it moer now that it is quilted and square. It still needs binding, but you get the idea.

That's what I have been up to. I think I have figured out a project for my mirror ball dot's fabric -- but I'm keeping it a secret for now :D I have a couple quilts I want to make, but they are a bit intense, so I'm not really sure if I'm up for it. Lately if it takes more than 1 or 2 nights to make, it's just too much for me. So I'm thinking about making some clothes, or some more baby-sized or wallhanging quilts. Things that go quilt :D. Plus until I get my extension for the P3, bigger than about 40" wide is just too much of a hassle to try to quilt. And most of what I want to do right now is free-motion quilt. I've gone a bit crazy with it.

Anyways, back to work for me. Later days.

Kathleen.
