Chic Kisses
My Chic Kisses quilt (pattern by Sew Kind of Wonderful). Which turned out just as I imagined it, which almost never happens.
I used a lot of the techniques I leaned in Karlee Porter's class. I had a lot of fun doing what I thought of as "graffiti feathers" in the large top and bottom borders.
I did more graffiti quilting in the background spaces of the pieced blocks as well, and something fairly uniform within the blocks.
I wanted to make sure the piecing stood out, so I did leave a 1/2" space un-quilted around each arch.
Anyways, I am now going to go sit in front of a fan and eat icecream. It is 31 degrees (thats 88 fahrenheit) inside my house right now-- which is the same inside and outside. Which is a win, seeing as how most of the week it has been hotter inside than out. And while I'm sure that people who live warm places feel the same about me complaining of this heat as I do when they complain about the cold, it's hot. At least when it's -30 I can go inside where there is heat. So that is my whine for today :D
Later days! Kathleen.
