Free Motion Friday - Triangle Sashing
Today, I'm showing you how I did the triangle sashings on Pat's Artisan quilt.
They were a lot of fu, and went a lot easier than I expected them to. Which is always nice.
I started by marking the size I wanted my triangles to be on the left and then the center in between each marking on the other side (the right).
Then I'd simply stitch the triangles, going from point to point.
Then, I'd echo 1/4" inside the left hand triangles.
And do three rounds of dot-to-dot on the right.
Then, I'd go fill in the left hand triangles with some loops.
When I planned this out in my head, I really thought that it would take FOREVER! But in real life, it went much faster than I expected. So be sure to give this one a go!
If you'd like your quilt to be a part of FMF, email a picture of it to kathleen(at)kathleenquilts.com.
Later days! Kathleen.
