Kathleen's Proud as a Peacock Quilt

This is my “Proud as a Peacock” quilt, and I love love love it. It was my own design, and crazy hard to piece with a bunch of weird angles and lines that needed to line up with one another… but I got it, and I think it’s awesome.

After it was pieced, I marked 4” squares over the entire background, plus marked in the flowers I wanted to quilt, so it was quite a production even before quilting started. It was on my frame for more than 4 months, but I blame my baby being born in the middle for that :D. I am so in love with the black thread on this quilt, it’s all I want to quilt on anything now. Black thread for everyone!
