Silk Hearts

This was the prettiest quilt that we saw at quilt market. It was totally amazing. It was made out of silk with a bunch of machine embroidery on it. I so do not do embroidery, but I am excited that Quilting From the Heart ordered the silk kit that goes with it-

The picture doesn't show the yellow or green coloured silk- which totally changes the colouring, but still. So I have been playing with EQ7 to try to design a super awesome quilt to make out of them. However, I have had a hard time matching colours, and spent more time trying to match colours than actually designing quilts. This is what I tend to do. But the end story is, that I am going to have the most awesome of all silk quilts when this is all done with. I made a silk quilt about a year and a half ago, and it was amazing, and so I'm totally stoked to be starting a new one. I don't have a picture of it right now, but I'll post it soon.

In other news, tomorrow I'm off to a quilting retreat for 4 days, so I'll be quilting like crazy again. I have five quilts cut out, each one better than the last. I'll post pictures soon!
