Free Motion Friday - Vikki's Quilt

Happy Friday!!! I'm back from vacation and back to my regular life. Funny how life happens like that :D.

This week we've got Vikki's quilt.

The X & + quilt is one of my favourites.

When I made mine I used it as a store sample on how to use the AccuFil feature on the Janome MC15000, so I didn't get to do any custom quilting on it. So I was pretty excited to at least be able to draw some custom quilting.

I started with some dot-to-dot in the "X" part of the block.

I then filled the diamond with ribbon candy, though any fill here would work.

Next, I did some straight lines in the "+" part, which make a nice crosshatch where they cross.

Then, in the background square, I went with a dense back and forth line.

And a dot-to-dot in the triangle spaces of the background.
