Joan's Chasing Dreams Quilt

I finally got back to my longarm today (after a 10 day hiatus of cleaning house, snowboarding & sewing clothes) and finished up Joan's quilt! I'm so happy with how it turned out.

I've had mad love for checkerboard quilting lately. To the point where I just don't know why there hasn't been more of it in my life up to this point. In the pointy border I really wanted to emphasise the look  of the rainbow points sort of making strips through the quilt, so used diagonal lines to emphasise this.

I spent a long time trying to figure out what to do in the centre. Finally, I decided just to stitch in the ditch the sames of the star, and some simple lines in the inside. I didn't want to overpower the super awesome piecing here.

I've really been on a blogging streak lately! 4 quilts blogged in a week!
