Pat's Heartland Quilt
I was super excited when Pat Bravo asked me to quilt for her again!! I absolutely love her fabrics + she lets me go crazy with the quilting, so it's a win-win. This quilt is hanging at Quilt Market right now, so if you're there, be sure to check it out!
I won't lie to you guys, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. The wavy background fill in the centre section was a new design for me, and I was panicking that it was awful until the quilt was off the frame and I could actually see it.
I used some contrasting pink and teal threads on this one. That's two quilts in a row for me. Which is about as much contrasting thread as I have ever used.
The circles are a design I learned in Jodi Robinson's class at QuiltCon. I absolutely love them!
I had originally added some yellow thread in this ghose goose. But I ended up picking it all out because it was just TOO much contrast and I didn't like how it looked.
Pat's "Heartland" fabrics will be available in September!
Later days! Kathleen.
